    Description

    😊 Hello, I’m Eilis,

Living in a magical place between Lagos and Aljezur, 22 minutes drive to south coast beach and 13 minutes drive to nearest town , 17 minutes from lagos and 19 from aljezur, it’s super connected but so far far from civilization, with a lovely old well, and a winter ribeira, olive trees, cork oaks, fruit trees and horses nearby, a semi abandoned village and an prehistoric burial ground nearby. I share the space with Maya the friendliest dog and cats Molly and Flora. I can offer simple accommodation in a cute room opening into the veranda. I also have two spacious family tents with mattresses. or if you prefer a space to pitch your tent there is plenty of space and I can provide mattress pillow and blankets to make it cozy. Or bring your van and park up in the beauty of nature, solar power, fridge, freezer, hot shower, washing machine .

I prefer no smoking near the house and of course fire safety is important now as the summer heat starts.

I enjoy sharing good conversation about the journey, our purpose, natural law and how we want to show up in the world.. I’m a trained midwife and work with women and children, offering support around birth, babies, and early life. I can also assist with practicing basic Portuguese. Im interested in all aspects of life and curious about people and like to share stories.

Help with cleaning, clearing the land and river, repairing the stone well, improving infrastructure like watering systems for agriculture. Looking for someone practical to help with simple irrigation systems on the land. This involves connecting hoses, moving pipes, and basic fittings and creating comfortable communal spaces. No plumbing or qualifications required.

I’m hoping to meet self-motivated, upbeat people who enjoy meaningful, physical work who want to experience what it is like setting up an off-grid home. There’s plenty to do — clearing brambles and other invasive species,

Eventually I’d like to build something with hemp blocks. I have been in Portugal many years and have experience with Permaculture building and gardening and much more.

The work is satisfying, hands-on work that suits people who are physically fit, enjoy being outdoors, and like to see the results of their effort at the end of the day.

Please note the nearest shop is a long walk from this remote location . If you enjoy being in nature this is a wonderful space. If you have your own vehicle this is an excellent oasis from the madness yet 20 minutes from beaches and busy towns.

If you’re warm, kind, and respectful, and enjoy living simply and in tune with the natural world and Natural Law, please get in contact😊

I look forward to hearing from you.

I’m interested in self-care, sharing, good values, giving and receiving and showing up in the world in a positive way. I’m interested in everything we can do to live more in tune with the universal energy and giving thanks to the creator.
