Description
We are a retired couple. After working around the world for 35 years we have settled in the eastern part of the Netherlands. We have bought an estate of 25 acres where we have built a energy-neutral home. We are now embarking on creating a permacultural garden\forest.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You can learn about permaculture and about Dutch culture. There is a fairly large city at about 10 kms away (Doetinchem). There you can find a good cinema and a theatre.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
Help with planting and creating the permaculture garden. In June we will harvest vinca minor, divide them and replant in various places around the house. Also we plan to install the irrigation around the house and in the forest.

Accommodation
You will have a bedroom with bathroom attached in our newly built energy-neutral house. We provide you with 3 meals a day. Mainly meatless but not vegetarian. We can do your laundry alongside with ours.
What else ...
This is a highly popular area for bicycle tours. The landscape is very diverse, mostly flat, suited for a push-bike (which is available). In the vicinity there are a number of castles, some of which date back to the early 1300's. Some of these are open to the public, others open up their gardens.
