 - Description- We are a non-for-profit small community kindergarden established in 2017. Our center is located in one of the 12 magic towns of Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, named; Santa María Ahuacatitlán. Our kindergarden is member of a town organised under traditions and customs. This means that the community has its local celebrations, traditions and way of organisation.
The kindergarden's mission is to promote quality education by working with nature, arts, technology, music, local traditions, languages and to promote nutritious food among the locals. We would love to welcome volunteers that are willing to share their English language knowledge with local kids. Currently, we have books and material in English.
We truly believe children learn through play so duties would be: organising games, sharing songs and just exposing children from our Infant and Toddler groups to the English language. We know that being exposed to English will give them the opportunity to understand the world and hear from other countries outside of Mexico. Our children come from underrepresented backgrounds so it is of paramount importance that we give them bilingualism as a tool for life.
 - Types of help and learning opportunities- Charity Work - Art Projects - Language practice - Teaching - Gardening - Babysitting and creative play - Creating/ Cooking family meals - Help with Computers/ Internet
 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- Volunteers have the opportunity to get to know local Mexican culture, teachers, parents and others. They can practice their language knowledge under a safe and local community of Santa María Ahuacatitlán in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. Our kindergarden and the accommodation are located near the Autonomous University of Morelos (UAEM) and one street far from the National Institute of Health (INSP).
From Monday to Friday we offer breakfast at our kindergarden. Every Friday, a different parent cooks local food and shares it with us. Volunteers will be able to try different local cooking.
