Description
We live in the quiet Danish countryside on a former small farm with some land, a small forest and a hobby kitchen garden. Life here is simple, practical and close to nature.
We are a couple looking for one mature and independent person who would like to stay 1–3 months and help with practical work around the property. For the right person, the stay could possibly be extended.
We both work away from home during the day and are usually back around 16:00, so you should be comfortable being on your own during the day and able to work independently.
You will stay in a guest room in our house, and the bathroom is shared with us.
You provide and prepare your own meals, but you of course have access to the kitchen.
The expected help is about 2–3 hours per day, 5 days per week.
Most work is outdoors, and on some days we will work together on tasks.
Typical tasks may include:
• weeding and maintaining the garden
• clearing small invasive trees in the forest
• general outdoor maintenance
• cleaning terraces or paving
• small repairs on buildings
• helping limewash the house
We are looking for someone who:
• has practical experience with gardening or maintaining a property
• can work independently
• is comfortable using tools
• enjoys outdoor work
We are friendly people but live a fairly quiet everyday life.
This place is best suited for a mature and self-reliant person, not backpackers or people looking for a very social travel experience.
Please note:
• It is not possible to register a CPR number at our address.
• You must have legal residence within the Schengen area.
Please write a few lines about your practical experience when contacting us.
