    Description

Hi:) I am Anna and I have recently moved back to my family home in Bieszczady mountains. The house has been deteriorating over the years and it is in need of work. Myself and my brother Peter (both in midd 30-s), started renovating the property and have been using builders for majority of the works but now would love some help with other jobs, such as; tiding up the grounds of the property , laying blocks in our driveway, cutting wood, building the fence around the property, pruning trees all in all we would love to bring our mum’s garden back to life.
Our home is located in a little pictures village surrounded by mountains and forest. For most people living here tourism is the main source of income. There are many hiking trails, you can do mountain climbing, foraging, skiing in the winter ect. . Our region is very closely located to Slovakia and Ukraine and the mixture of those cultures you can still see here in wooden architecture, icon paintings and local food. The night sky here is spectacular , and on a clear night you can often observe Milky Way. We have little village shop as well as two restaurants. There are local buses that can take you to towns; Lesko or Sanok (Aprox.1h away). We do have a car and will be happy to show you around at some weekends if you wish. My brother Peter likes to cycle, hike so if you like he can show you some really lovely trails.

If you are looking to learn basic survival skill in a rural forest/ mountain location this is a perfect place for you.
We can show you how to do; foraging, starting open fires, making preserves such as ; sauerkraut, jams, pickled mushrooms, and much more :)

    Help

We need help with gardening , building fence from the stones, carpentry work, painting the walls, cleaning up the attic, any help with all tasks around the house (maintenance, cleaning, repairing). We have fruit trees that we will need help with pruning, cutting trees, preparing wood for the winter season, fixing fence, take terms in cooking meals if you are confident and happy to do so. We are making a little kitchen and a bathroom that will be easy for my mum to access so if you can tile that will be great.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You will be given a private room possibly with your own bathroom but it could also be that the bathroom will be sheared and located across the hallway, this will all depend how many people we have staying in the house at the time. the kitchen will be sheared but we hope that we will all eat and cook together when possible. We have wifi in the house, books, magazines (both in Polish and English)
