Description
Hi there! Meet our family: Riny ('81), Milou ('89), our sons Ayden (2019) and Brady (2023) and our daughter Vayen (2021). We moved to a beautiful old farm house in 2020 in the little town of Hoenzadriel, close to Den Bosch in the Netherlands. We want to preserve all the old things in and around the house (and the house itself) and we work very hard every day to make everything durable and sustainable. We homeschool our oldest (and the other two in the future) and can always use help with that :) We love it when our kids learn new languages or something about your home culture.

Our place is very peacefull, every day being here feels like a holiday, even for us! We have a pretty large forest in the backyard so you can enjoy the sounds of birds and spot lots of cool animals from our terrace. We also have 2 swings, 3 slides, a trampoline and we can put up a pop up swimming pool in summer. We are planning to build a tree house soon.
You will be able to learn about construction tasks in and around the house. A skill that is very useful if you want to buy your own house one day :) I can teach you to cook nice vegan dishes, and traditional dutch food. We are both fluent in English. If you're not there yet, I'm sure staying here and talking to us will help a lot.Projects involving children

Help
Riny is very handy and al lot of the tasks that needs to be done in and around the house he wants to do himself. But we can use some help! For instance with brick laying, digging, gardening, heavy lifting, demolishing, building, isolating, cutting wood etc. There is a lot to do and there is always something you can help with, I'm sure! Maybe some of you would prefer gardening, teaching/babysitting and household chores so Riny can still work on the house when I'm at work or busy with the kids.

We have a large spare bedroom to share. You can use all the other rooms in the house except for our bedroom. We have a large bathroom with shower and a bath tub and 2 seperate toilets. We have a large living area where there is also a small kitchen and we have a nice and cosy room underneath your bedroom where you can enjoy a book or a game in private. There is wifi. We would love it if you join us for meals. We eat mostly vegan, but you can prepare your own meat if you really cant live without it. Amount of hours and days that you help are in consultation with you.
Please note that our house and especially your bedroom can be really cold when its cold outside. What else ...
On your days off its nice to discover the area. Its beautiful, very green, with lots of water and lots of different birds. You can walk or borrow a bike. We are 2 kilometers from the town of Kerkdriel, where you find several shops, supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, bars, a swimming pool, a golf range and more. Also close by is the beautiful old city of Den Bosch. You can get there by bike or bus. From there you have a train connection to all of Holland. Amsterdam is only 1 hour by train.
