Description
We are located in coastal rural Otago, on the sea/river, in Taieri Mouth. Dunedin is a 40 minute drive away. Our little beach cabin is very, very basic. Outdoor non-flush toilet, water is scarce and is collected from rainfall (showers maximum of 3 minutes because of this), cooking facilities are limited, it is a small home and the decor is very dated. It is like camping but with a small house to sleep in. We do not have all of the modern luxuries that you often find in new homes, so we are not for the fainthearted.
We are surrounded by a lot of natural beauty and wildlife. It is a peaceful and relaxing location.
I am an artist, there are anywhere between one and three children, aged 10 to 18 (depending on the time of year) and two cats. It's a home full of fun, love & laughter. Come and join our family for a week or more.
We like to treat our amazing workaway helpers as family members and try to make sure they have a fun time with us.
We love to hear about your culture and travel experiences and share ours with you.
We can usually only host in the spring & summer months. However sometimes need help in autumn.

I felt so welcome during my time in Wanaka and had plenty of free time for exploring the area. Jo's home is the perfect location with amazing views. I was very sad to leave!
