Description
Hello!
We are a hostel located in the village of Arugam Bay, we opened in August 2023 and are excited to reopen for the season in 2024! We are a skating hostel, we are proud to have opened Arugam Bays first ever skate park!
The skate park is within our hostel along with dorm rooms, a private room, basketball ring, restaurant and communal areas.
At our hostel, we also host English and Skate lessons for the local children!
We are a backpackers hostel that is becoming quite popular, especially among those who share the interest of skating. Our skate park is open for everyone, free to use for our guests and any visitors. We also organise surf trips daily, safaris and camping trips!
The hostel is located outside of town of Arugam Bay. Please note: it is around a 10-15 minute walk.

Here volunteers will be living at our hostel and everyone is treated as family. We all eat dinner together most nights, surf daily together and skate together.
We also teach the younger local kids in the village English and teach them how to skate. We want the kids to feel happy and comfortable here. You will also be interacting with lots of locals who live in this area and become a part of the Arugam Bay community.

Help
We are looking for an artist to come to our hostel and do some mural tasks!
We have many blank spots within the hostel, we just need someone who is creative, experienced and who has ideas!
I can send through images of work that we like so you can see if you would be able to design something of a similar vibe. Our hostel is based around surfing, skating and Sri Lanka!
We can supply paints and brushes. Theres multiple spaces in the hostel we are wanting to get done, large and small. You can choose.

What else ...
Arugam Bay is full of great night life, great food and great surf. There are so many surf spots around. You can learn to skate at our hostel, there are also jungle safaris and camping trips that we can organise. Arugam Bay will become quite busy during high season meaning you will make plenty of new friends and meet travellers from all over the globe!
