  Hello!
  
  We are a new hostel located in Arugam Bay, we opened in August 2023 and are excited to reopen for the season in February 2024! We are a surfskate hostel, we are proud to have opened Arugam Bays first ever skate park!
  
  The skate park is within our hostel along with dorm rooms, a private room, basketball ring, restaurant and communal areas.
  
  We are a backpackers hostel that is becoming quite popular, especially among those who share the interest of skating. Our skate park is open for everyone, free to use for our guests and any visitors. We also organise surf trips daily, safaris and camping trips!
  
  The hostel is located just outside of town of Arugam Bay, around a 10-15 minute walk.
  
  At the hostel, we are looking for an English teacher who is able to plan lessons teach the local kids English 4-5 times per week!

  Here volunteers will be living at our hostel and everyone is treated as family. We all eat dinner together every night, surf daily together and skate together.
  
  We are trying to build a community with the kids who we are teaching. We want the kids to feel happy and comfortable here. You will be interacting with lots of locals who live in this area and become a part of the Arugam Bay community.

  Help

  We are looking for an English teacher volunteer for our hostel!
  
  At the hostel we host daily English classes for the local kids who come and skate! English classes are scarce and expensive in Arugam Bay, making it very difficult for the kids to learn. We have put together this program to help and give back to the community.
  
  We are looking for someone who is capable of planning lessons and teaching the kids. The kids are aged 6-13 and all have varying levels of English, it is up to you to decide how you would like to teach them (split them up depending on level etc.)
  
  There are around 4-5 lessons per week, each lesson running around 1-2hrs. Along with the English classes, you are expected to plan and structure the English lessons.
  
  I am looking for someone who would like to volunteer at our hostel short term! I am looking for someone to start mid April and finish at the end of April (2 weeks)

  Arugam Bay is full of great night life, great food and great surf. There are so many surf spots around. You can learn to skate at our hostel, there are also jungle safaris and camping trips that we can organise. Arugam Bay will become quite busy during high season meaning you will make plenty of new friends and meet travellers from all over the globe!
