    Description

Hi, I am Sharom, I'm living in Malacca with my wife and 2 teenagers children.
I love travelling and I would be very happy to share culture of my country with friends from all around the world.

I have a guesthouse/hostel managed by myself and my wife. It is located at Kota Laksamana, MALACCA Historical City town. It is a terrace house, located in a quiet housing area with stores and restaurants (some of the famous ones are just right around here) within 1 to 5 minutes walking from the city center and the river side. Malacca is a cycling-friendly town. You are free to use one of the bikes in the guesthouse/hostel to ride around Malacca and explore. If I have time, I'll bring and show you around what's best and fun in Malacca - enjoying it in the authentically local way! Feel yourself at home here!

We dont have any permanent staff. It is only me and my wife who are in charge of cleaning, administrative tasks and the check in and out of our guests. We are looking for someone who is friendly and responsible to help us out on this administrative side and also doing some general cleaning, gardening and housekeeping here at the hostel and guesthouse.

"Selamat datang ke Melaka!" ("WelcomeToMelaka" in Bahasa Malaysia)

You have an opportunity to get to know the locals around here and understand more about Malaysia and South East Asia culture for example the Malay Wedding ceremony etc. You can know more about Malacca town's history, as this is where Malaya / Malaysia "started". Malacca has been listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2008. It is one of the historic cities of the Straits of Malacca. The city has a fascinating history , developing from a Malay Sultanate through subsequent periods of Portuguese, Dutch and English colonial ruled until independency in 1957. Don't miss visiting the remains of the A Famosa Fort and St Paul's Chuch both dating to the Portuguese period and some of the oldest European architectural remains in South East Asia. You can also use this opportunity to learn some Bahasa Melayu if you're interested. Malacca town is also a place full with travellers around the world. This is a good chance for you to know friends around the world! We're only less than 10 minutes walk away from the heart of Malacca town, where all the famous spots such as Red Square, Jonker street, Riverwalk, Rivercruise, St. Francis Xavier Church, St. Paul Church, Maritime museum, etc. You are basically living in a place with holiday + historical vibes!

I would also love to introduce you more about Melaka City and a real local food whenever I am available.
