    Description

Hello, my name is Annett (43), I live together with two cats and Jäckel in the beautiful nature of the Algarve, about 8 kilometres from Sagres and 3 kilometres from Vila do Bispo.

We live on a 4,000 sqm piece of land in a camper with a lovingly self-built bathroom. When we bought the land ten years ago, it was completely abandoned and overgrown. Since then, we have slowly been bringing it back to life, mostly by hand and step by step.

The property is shaped by old olive trees, small paths, fruit trees, a little stream, vegetable gardens and many areas that are constantly evolving. There is always something to care for, maintain or create.

This is not a luxury place or a retreat centre — just a quiet, authentic place in nature for people who enjoy a more grounded and mindful way of living.

We are looking for support with watering plants, general care of the land and helping to keep this place alive and in balance. Depending on the season, there may also be smaller outdoor projects or occasionally feeding the cats during a short trip.

This is a quiet and peaceful place surrounded by nature. We enjoy relaxed evenings, good conversations and a simple way of living. It is not a party place and probably not the right fit for people looking for constant entertainment or festival vibes.

We are happy to welcome respectful and grounded people who appreciate nature, silence and a slower rhythm of life.

The nearest beaches and surf spots are only a few kilometres away, and Raposeira with small cafés, restaurants and a supermarket is also close by.

Please bring suitable clothes and shoes for outdoor work. The weather can be hot, windy or rainy, so practical clothing is important.

We do require our helpers to have personal travel insurance.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide support for visas or residency matters.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Guests benefit from a genuine cultural exchange and an insight into everyday rural life in the Algarve. You will experience a simple and authentic way of living in the Portuguese countryside, away from mass tourism.

The area offers easy access to a wide variety of surf spots, beautiful beaches and hiking trails along the coast and inland nature.

There is also space for exchange around interests such as yoga, outdoor living and simple, mindful routines, if desired.

At the same time, there is plenty of space for independence and privacy. This is a place to stay, connect and exchange in a natural and relaxed environment.

    Help

Our goal is to care for this beautiful place and continue maintaining it with attention and care. Many trees and plants have been planted over the past years and need regular care and watering to keep growing and thriving.

At the same time, we enjoy meeting kind, reliable and open-minded people, sharing experiences, good conversations and creating a genuinely nice time together. We appreciate simple living, mutual respect and the opportunity to learn from different ways of life and perspectives.
