Description
This is a family-run space where art and rural life come together! Nestled in a small village near Torres Vedras it serves as a creative and cultural hub.
We host workshops, artist residencies, and arts-focused events, alongside activities connected to our vineyard and the land. We’re inspired by the knowledge of past generations, while also embracing new and evolving ways to grow, create, and live.
At this place, we believe in sharing, collaborating, and building meaningful experiences together.
If you have a passion for art and enjoy rural living, come join us on this journey of creativity and connection!Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We love sharing meals and good conversations, which naturally creates a strong sense of community. Workawayers can connect with us, our friends, and neighbors through daily tasks and local events.
We’re happy to share what we know—especially in the veggie garden—and we're always open to learning new techniques and ideas from others. Hosting people from different cultures helps us grow, exchange perspectives, and discover new ways of looking at the world.Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
Please note that Workawayers will not be involved in workshops, artist residencies, events, or any activities that generate income for the project.
Instead, your help will focus more on the vegetable garden, maintaining the surrounding landscape, and supporting the general maintenance.
We value collaboration, the exchange of skills, and learning from one another through hands-on experiences.
If you enjoy rural life, practical outdoor tasks, and being part of a space that blends creativity with agriculture, you’ll feel right at home with us!Languages spoken

We offer different accommodation options depending on the season and availability. Workawayers can stay in a tent, a hammock, a shared room, or occasionally a private room.
Food arrangements vary — mostly vegetarian. However, if my mother is cooking, expect hearty traditional Portuguese dishes! 😄What else ...
During your time off, you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, explore the local area, or take a short trip to the nearby city—just 10 minutes away. Lisbon is also easily accessible, about 45 minutes by bus. There are regular bus connections, and we also have bicycles available to help you get around.
We’re like a family here, so we value respect, calmness, and also fun! We enjoy spending time in this peaceful environment and working on our creative and land-based projects, so we kindly ask everyone to help maintain this atmosphere during their stay.A little more information

Limited internet access
We have pets
We are smokers
Can host families
Can host digital nomads
Absolutely! We have a reliable Wi-Fi connection and an open-space studio where you can work. However, please note that it’s a shared space, so while it's a creative and inspiring environment, it might not always be completely quiet. If you're flexible and enjoy working in a communal setting, you'll feel right at home!
Space for parking camper vans
We can offer space for campers or motorhomes, but the availability and size of the space depend on the specific situation and the size of your vehicle. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but please let us know in advance so we can make sure everything fits. In addition to the outdoor spaces, we also provide basic facilities for your comfort.
Can possibly accept pets
We currently have two dogs, so Workawayers should be comfortable around them. Unfortunately, because there is a very dangerous road nearby, we have had some sad experiences in the past, so we are very cautious about accepting other pets. If you’re traveling with a pet, please talk to us first so we can see if it’s a good fit.
