Description
We are two families living on adjacent properties, in a beautiful rural setting of 14 acres, within minutes of the charming downtown of Nelson, BC, Canada. We have large organic gardens, fruit trees, chickens, bees, dogs, some sheep, kids, a managed forest and large, rolling lawns. In our spare time we ride bikes, go hiking, go swimming or paddling at the beach which is minutes away. Oh, and we are all very nice and easy to get along with!

What else ...
Nelson is renowned for it's charming heritage theme, with lots of cool coffee shops and excellent dining. The town is situated on beautiful Kootenay Lake, lovely for swimming and stand up paddle boarding in the summer. World class mountain biking is right out the back door, and of course, lots of hiking in our rugged mountains. There are more quaint towns along the lake that make for a couple of fun days of sightseeing and camping. There is limited public transportation, but safe hitch-hiking is still an option in these parts and there is always a ride available on our local ride-share website.
We would expect any workaway workers to be participatory, friendly, enthusiastic and helpful! While we enjoy spending time with people, we also respect everyone's privacy and down time, so would extend the same to our guests.A little more information

This is such a wonderful part the world. When we arrived we were amazed at how beautiful the house and forest was! Right from the get go we felt at home which was nice after camping for 2 months.
