Description
UPDATE!
We will have a few spots open for this Summer (July and August). We might have a spot for early May as well, but not in the between. We are searching for help with renovation and garden, so manual work, babysitting is not needed at the moment (as there has been a lot of requests for).
***
We are a young family of 5, that bought an old farmhouse in Normandy six years ago. We are planning to transform it into a Bed&Breakfast, we are slowly starting the process, but even without that there is always some work to do.
Pierre is a graphic designer that works from home and Tadeja is a stay at home Mom to Anaïs (6 years), Clara (4) and Alain (1) and cats named Muca and Zouki.
We are situated in a cute little village, just a few kilometres out of beautiful Bayeux (and it's famous tapestry) and a quick drive from the historical D-Day beaches. Mt Saint Michel is an hour drive away and you can reach Paris in about two hours time by train (from Bayeux). The surroundings offer plenty of possibilities for long walks/biking tours in the nature and there is an adventure park just a short walk away (open from April to September).Types of help and learning opportunities

Workawayers mainly come to explore the D-Day beaches and learn French, but you are welcome to join us when we go to the Bayeux food market on Saturdays or sometimes Port-en-Bessin on Sundays. We have a bike you can use, it takes you 20 minutes to get to Bayeux and almost the same to Port-en-Bessin. We both speak English, but will be happy to help you with your French.

Help
We have started the process of making the B&B, but it's still early stages. There are some things we want to do by ourselves, so a fit strong helping hands are very welcome for the demolition, space preparing part and more gentle ones for gardening if needed.
The main projects for this summer are isolation, draining and space prep, so the work will bit a bit more physically demanding, but there are always some lighter things to do as well.Languages

If you prefer, you can also put up a tent in the yard. Meals will be shared with us. We eat everything, so please precise if you have special food regimen.
