    Description

We (Emilia, Simon and our freshly baked baby Mira) are a small family on the countryside thriving towards self sufficiency. We live in a little house next to beautiful nature and close to the village. We are surrounded by forest, mountains, a river and historical sights. It's a calm and quiet place where we take it slow, we work in presence and focus (and we work hard). Sometimes we fill the garden with music and friends. There are a great community feeling in the village but especially in our friend group. We hope that our volunteers will find it inspiring, relaxing to work with us on our land with farming, managing the land, cooking food... Much love!

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

There is a great community vibe in the village and in our friend group. You are welcome to join us on many activities! There are often concerts, or events like yoga/sound journey/ceremonies/ecstatic dance or flea markets in the area. We could also give you tips about (or show you) beautiful spots in nature or historical sights.

We are people who know a little bit in a lot of areas, especially around gardening and making stuff from the ground with our own hands. We mainly use reused materials. Emilia can for example share knowledge about making skin care or healing ointments. On top of that Emilia is a yoga teacher and loves to share this passion with others.

We want to learn more about , animal care (especially chickens), growing mushrooms and more!

  • Help

    Help

We need help with projects inside and outside, gardening, cooking, cutting the grass, maintaining the forest, making fire wood, picking berries (in the garden and in the forest), and so on. We are working on these projects ourselves, with or without a volunteer. As a volunteer you will mainly be working alongside us as we are sharing skills, while we are getting a helping hand by you. You don't have to have any experience or knowledge about the tasks in advance, but if you do, we are happy to learn from you too 😊
We (me and my husband) will be the ones who mainly are doing all the projects we are talking about, especially the building parts. This is what we are doing, with or without a volunteer. A volunteer will only be a helping/assisting hand.

We are hiring a local contractor to update our sewage system.

We are also welcoming other creative ideas! Maybe you want to create some art? Your interest will guide us as well as our priority list or passion.

    Accommodation

You are welcome to stay in our beautiful little self built camper van. Here you have a bed (with bedding), electricity, stove and oven, running water, heat if you need and storage. This is a safe and comfortable little house on wheels. You can also camp on the land (we will provide you with a tent and bedding). You can use the toilet in the house or the out house. You can use the shower in the house or the out door shower.

All the ingredients will be provided by us and you are welcome to use what the garden has to offer. But we are not going to cook all the meals since this is something we are struggling with, especially in resonable times. So depending on your interests we will take turns cooking, you will do all the cooking or everyone will make their own meals. You can use the kitchen inside the house or the one in the camper. We will all do our best to keep the kitchen tidy.

You will be like a part of our family.
