Description
We, my husband, daughter and son-in-law, recently purchased a lovely 200 year old cottage in Normandy's cider region, the Orne. There are 2.2 hectares. (22,000 m2) very fertile, but largely neglected, land. There are still more than 20 cider apple trees. A beautiful design has already been made for a food forest. So that the animals, family and friends can soon enjoy the abundance. The cottage is old and cozy, but fully equipped. In the month of August we are looking for people who can plaster a small piece of wall again, and install 2 wood stoves in what are now 2 fireplaces. This is the most important job before winter. Fruit bushes can also be planted. And a start can be made with the planting of perennial vegetables. We want to plant fruit trees at the end of October/November. The cottage has a beautiful view while being within walking distance of a village. You can find cider and Camembert straight from the farmer. There are also many remains of Megaliths in the area. We love (healthy) cooking so you will lack nothing!
The terrain is 2,2 ha. Halve of it will stay "wild"
to be a hideout for birds and little annimals. There are special animals and plants on the land like the garden dormouse. This is one of the most important reasons to start this project. The increase of species and to become a save place for plants and animals.
Wij, mijn man, dochter en schoonzoon, hebben recent een schattig 200 jaar oud huisje gekocht in de ciderstreek van Normandie, de Orne. Er is 2,2 ha. ( 22.000 m2) zeer vruchtbare, maar op grote delen verwaarloosde, grond bij. Er staan nog ruim 20 cider appelbomen. Er is al een prachtig ontwerp gemaakt voor een voedselbos. Zodat de vogels en de vele andere wilde dieren, familie en vrienden binnenkort mee kunnen genieten van de overvloed. Het huisje is oud en knus, maar van alle gemakken voorzien. In de maand augustus zoeken wij mensen die een klein stukje muur opnieuw kunnen stukadoren, en 2 houtkachels kunnen aanleggen in wat nu 2 open haarden zijn. Dit is de belangrijkste klus vóór de winter. Ook kunnen er fruitstruiken geplant worden. En er kan een begin gemaakt worden met het planten van meerjarige groenten. Eind oktober/november willen we fruitbomen planten.
Het huisje heeft een prachtig uitzicht terwijl het op loopafstand van een dorpje ligt.
Cider en Camembert vind je zo van de boer. Ook zijn er vele restanten van Megalithen in de omgeving. We houden van ( gezond) koken dus het zal je/jullie aan niets ontbreken!
Het terrein is 2 ha. groot. We laten ongeveer de helft ongemoeid om als schuilplaats voor vogels en kleine dieren te bewaren. Er zijn nog een aantal bijzondere planten en dieren op ons land. Waaronder de eikelmuis. Dit is 1 van de belangrijkste redenen om dit project te starten. De toename van soorten en om een veilige haven te voor hen te kunnen zijn.

We are all 4 Dutch. And also speak good English. My husband has great interest in literature, especially Haiku. I am a Spiritual Coach and also provide training there. My daughter organizes art and ecology projects. My son-in-law is a sculpture artist and teaches at various art academies, including the Rietveld in Amsterdam.
Wij zijn alle 4 Nederlands. En spreken ook goed Engels. Mijn man heeft grote interesse in literatuur, vooral Haiku's. Ik ben Spiritueel Coach en geef daar ook opleidingen. Mijn dochter organiseert kunst en ecologie projecten. Mijn schoonzoon is beelden kunstenaar en is docent aan verschillende kunstacademies, waaronder het Rietveld in Amsterdam.

Accommodation
Above the garage is a modern and large bedroom with its own large bathroom. We provide the 3 meals. They are organic and vegetarian as much as possible.
Boven de garage is een moderne en grote slaapkamer met een eigen grote badkamer.
Wij zorgen voor de 3 maaltijden. Die zijn zoveel mogelijk biologisch en vegetarisch.

The village is within walking distance (20 minutes). Beautiful walks can be made in the area. There is a route du Cidre, a route du Camembert. We really enjoy interacting with people from different cultures. But also respect everyone's privacy.
Het dorpje ligt op loopafstand (20 minuten) Er kunnen prachtige wandelingen gemaakt worden in de omgeving. Er is een route du Cidre, een route du Camembert. Wij vinden het erg leuk om contact te hebben met mensen uit verschillende culturen. Maar respecteren ook ieders privacy.

In the house is no WiFi. But the internet works fine. And with a hotspot you csn even see moties on your laptop. Er is geen WiFi in het huisje. Maar internet werkt prima. En met een hotspot kun je zelfs films kijken op de laptop.

Small campervans are welcome. You can't entertainment the terrain with big ones.
Can possibly accept pets
Yes. We have a lovely dog. She is oké with almost ang other dog. She loves to play. We hebben een hele lieve hond. Ze is oké met vrijwel alle andere honden.. ze is heel speels.
