    Description

We run a hospitality business on a historic farming property in the beautiful Clare Valley.

We are looking for an energetic, physically fit and motivated person to help our team on the property with renovations of historic sandstone buildings and general maintenance on the property.

Given the nature of this role, experience in building, construction, labouring, gardening or general handy-man skills (including use of basic tools and equipment) would be preferred but is not essential. We'd love to know what skills you might already have so we can make the most of your time with us.

We have a great permanent team who you would be working alongside (involved in hospitality and maintenance) and you will have the opportunity to learn new skills.

Accommodation is provided, with facilities for self catering.

While staying here, there will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenic property (cropping, grazing and heritage buildings; with walking trails and swimming pool to use in warmer months) and interact with animals (including dogs, deer, kangaroos, sheep, horses etc) if you wish.

We also live in beautiful wine region which you are welcome to explore, and are 8-10 minutes from town of Clare and 2 hours from Adelaide.

Clare is 2 hours from the city of Adelaide - and a bus runs between Adelaide and Clare 3-4 times a week if you do not have a car. Our property is located 12 kilometres from the town of Clare, which has a range of shops etc. The region has many wineries, art galleries and historic sites, as well as great walking/cycling trails which have been enjoyed by many other travellers who have stayed with us. Past travellers have also taken time off to visit the Flinders Ranges, Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula.

This opportunity is best suited to those travellers who have an interest in building/trades/gardening, are energetic and self motivated and wish to experience country life. If you do not have a car, your time exploring the region will be more limited, although we will do our best to show you the local highlights when our work and family commitments permit. We have travelled widely ourselves and also had many travellers work here in the past from all over the globe, so we enjoy meeting them and learning about their experiences.
