Description
Hi! My name is Nano and I’m the host of a shared house in El Palomar (western area of Buenos Aires), located about 1 to 1.5 hours from downtown by public transport.
This is a shared living project based on cultural exchange: volunteers help with daily tasks in exchange for accommodation and a community experience.
We aim to create a calm space where people from different countries live together, share and collaborate with respect.
I live in the house and actively take part in daily life. We value open communication, good coexistence and a more local, authentic experience of Buenos Aires.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Travelers here experience cultural exchange as something lived, not programmed 🌱🕊️
Instead of tours or formal activities, learning happens through everyday life in a shared house with people from different countries, backgrounds and perspectives. This allows travelers to experience the local culture in a natural and human way.
Through this exchange, travelers can benefit and learn in many ways:
A deeper understanding of Argentine daily life, customs, rhythms and social dynamics
Spanish practice through real conversations, shared meals and coexistence
Exposure to different cultures, ideas and worldviews from other volunteers and locals
Community living skills such as cooperation, communication and shared responsibility
Creative and personal growth by sharing talents, ideas and experiences
A more conscious way of traveling, focused on connection rather than consumption
By participating in the house routine and community activities, travelers learn how small, everyday interactions can create meaningful connections. The exchange is mutual: everyone teaches, everyone learns, and everyone becomes part of the story of the house.
Help
This is a community project in its early stages. Volunteers mainly help with the daily life of a shared house and the gradual development of the space.
Tasks may include:
Cleaning and maintenance of common areas
Organizing and keeping spaces tidy
Small improvements around the house (light painting, decoration, basic gardening)
Language exchange
Proposing or facilitating cultural or artistic activities
Creating content for social media (Instagram)
Tasks are flexible and can be adapted to each volunteer’s skills, interests and energy.

Accommodation
Accommodation is in a shared house, in a shared room with a single bed. The house is simple, lived-in and in progress, but it is kept clean and functional. Bathroom, kitchen and common areas are shared.
We provide a bed and basic bedding. The house has hot water, electricity, internet and comfortable spaces to relax and socialize. Food is not included, but you are free to use the kitchen and organize meals together with others.
This is a shared living experience, not a hotel.
The accommodation is best suited for people who are open to community life, respectful of shared spaces and comfortable living with others.
What else ...
During their time off, helpers here have many opportunities to explore both local life and the wider city, while still enjoying a calm place to return to.
The house is located in the western area of Buenos Aires, in a residential neighborhood that offers a more authentic and non-touristic experience. Nearby areas such as El Palomar and Ramos Mejía have cafés, bars, bakeries, local markets, gyms and small shops, making daily life easy and enjoyable.
