Description
Hi! My name is Nano and I’m the host here, a shared house and cultural project located in the western area of Buenos Aires.
The project was born as a personal initiative with the idea of creating a calm, creative and collaborative space where people from different backgrounds can live together, share experiences and learn from each other. I live in the house and I’m actively involved in the daily life of the project.
It is not a traditional business or hostel. It is an independent project based on cultural exchange, collaboration and community life. Volunteers support the project by helping with practical tasks such as maintenance, painting, cleaning, gardening or small improvements, depending on current needs. There are no paid employees or formal staff involved.
I really value open communication, mutual respect and a friendly atmosphere. Volunteers are invited to be part of the daily rhythm of the house, sharing meals, conversations and ideas.
The neighborhood is well connected to the city. From here you can reach central Buenos Aires by train or bus. Nearby areas like El Palomar and Ramos Mejía offer cafés, bars, local shops and an active social life. There is also a local urban nature reserve close to the house, perfect for walking, relaxing and enjoying green spaces.
Buenos Aires itself offers endless cultural activities: music, art, football, museums, markets and a vibrant street life. This makes this place a a great base for discovering both local daily life and the wider city.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Cultural exchange primarily takes place through daily life in a shared house with people from different countries. Participants share conversations, meals, ideas, travel experiences, and perspectives on life in Buenos Aires and Argentina. Volunteers can practice their Spanish, learn about local customs, and explore the neighborhood and the city from an everyday, non-touristy perspective. The exchange of knowledge is also valued: music, art, languages, cuisine, cultural ideas, and personal experiences. The project aims to foster genuine connections, mutual learning, and an experience based on respect, dialogue, and cultural diversity.
El intercambio cultural se da principalmente a través de la convivencia diaria en una casa compartida con personas de distintos países. Se comparten charlas, comidas, ideas, experiencias de viaje y miradas sobre la vida en Buenos Aires y en Argentina.
Los voluntarios pueden practicar español, conocer costumbres locales, recorrer el barrio y la ciudad desde una perspectiva cotidiana y no turística. También se valora el intercambio de saberes: música, arte, idiomas, cocina, ideas culturales o experiencias personales.
El proyecto busca generar vínculos reales, aprendizaje mutuo y una experiencia basada en el respeto, el diálogo y la diversidad cultural.
Help
Workaway participants will primarily assist with the daily running of a shared house and the development of an ongoing community and cultural project. Tasks may include cleaning and tidying shared spaces, organizing common areas, painting, simple maintenance, and small repairs.
Cooking is done collaboratively for personal/shared meals only, as part of daily life in the house.
Volunteers do not provide services to guests or customers, and this is not a tourism or business activity.
This is a cultural and community exchange based on coexistence, collaboration, and mutual respect.
Los workawayers ayudarán principalmente en el funcionamiento cotidiano de una casa compartida y en el desarrollo de un proyecto comunitario y cultural en construcción.
Las tareas incluyen limpieza y orden de espacios comunes, organización del hogar, pintura, mantenimiento simple y pequeños arreglos.
La cocina es compartida y doméstica, como parte de la convivencia diaria, y no implica preparar ni servir comida a huéspedes o clientes.
No se trata de turismo ni de un negocio, sino de un intercambio cultural y comunitario.
Muchas tareas se hacen en conjunto y con diálogo. La organización es flexible, pero se valora el compromiso, la responsabilidad y las ganas de colaborar. No es trabajo intensivo ni turístico: es un intercambio basado en convivencia, respeto y cooperación.

Accommodation
Accommodation is in a shared house, in a shared room with a single bed. The house is simple, currently occupied and being renovated, but it is kept clean and functional. The bathroom, kitchen, and common areas are shared. A bed and basic bedding are provided. The house has hot water, electricity, and spaces for relaxing and socializing. Meals are not included, but you are welcome to use the kitchen freely and organize meals together. This is a shared living experience. Volunteers are not responsible for hosting or attending guests.This accommodation is intended for people open to living together, respecting shared spaces, and enjoying community life.
El alojamiento es en una casa compartida, en habitación compartida, con cama individual. La casa es sencilla, habitada y en proceso, pero se mantiene limpia y funcional. Se comparte baño, cocina y espacios comunes.
Se provee cama y ropa de cama básica. La casa cuenta con agua caliente, electricidad y espacios para descansar y convivir. La comida no está incluida, pero se puede usar la cocina libremente y organizarse de manera compartida.
Es una experiencia de convivencia. Los voluntarios no cumplen funciones de anfitrión ni atención a terceros.
El alojamiento está pensado para personas abiertas a la convivencia, el respeto por los espacios comunes y la vida en comunidad.
