Description
Interested in hearing from anyone who can come from 10th April 2026 and stay until 2/3rd July. Preference to older workawayers- 23 + years and Female only for now *** experience with young children is essential
=========
We are a couple who have four children under 9 years old. Deirdre works as a psychologist with the national health service and Kenny works as a secondary school teacher.
Our house is located ten minutes drive to Galway city, very close to major Supermarkets and a local shop. We are just off the Wild Atlantic Way and our house can be used as a gateway to explore the many wonderful landscapes of the West of Ireland including, Connemara, Co. Mayo, Co. Clare and the islands off the Galway coast.
We are sociable friendly people.
We can offer you your own room and bathroom in a very nice modern comfortable warm home.
If you are over 25 you can use our 2nd car( conditions of insurance company)
We would like someone to help to care for the older children mainly… Someone who is able to fetch them simple snacks, play with them, bring them for walks and do light housework. The hours would generally be "after school" so from 3pm until 5pm during the weekdays. The additional time would be for Housework tasks would include helping us keep the house tidy , helping with laundry and cleaning and simple meal prep sometimes.
Experience of caring for children would be desirable. You will be happy here if you genuinely enjoy the company of small children- but it will be difficult if you don't...!
Our ideal person is someone who uses their own initiative and sees how they can contribute to helping everything run smoothly and has plenty of energy and is willing to help!

Help
help is usually needed with morning and evening tidy and clean and in the afternoons with the older children- to do homework with 9 year old and 6 year old, give the children a snack after school and organise some enjoyable activities focused around play . you will usually be free again between 4 and 5- earlier on fridays. Weekends are your own of course.
