Description
Hi! I'm Tony. I am 64, a retired symphony musician (cellist). Now I drive tractor-trailers. I am a widower. I live on a small country property on the southern edge of Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, near the intersection of Highway 401 and Homer Watson Blvd., about 3km west of Conestoga College, about an hour west of Toronto. The property is in an idyllic and peaceful setting, but has become rundown and is in poor condition. I wish to sell it and need help in getting this done. De-cluttering, sorting, downsizing... The house is 15 minutes by car from downtown Kitchener. The city bus is a short walk or bike ride. I have bikes for the use of Workawayers.
Types of help and learning opportunities
Help around the houseGeneral MaintenanceCultural exchange and learning opportunities
I am a fairly mainstream Canuck. Kitchener is in the heart of southern Ontario and is a lively cultural centre. It is surrounded by wonderful farmland much of which is still worked by Mennonite families who have been here for many generations. The Six Nations Reserve is close by (one of the biggest communities of indigenous peoples in Canada). There are lots of cultural activities of interest there. Toronto is nearby and is a cosmopolitan city of several millions. The Great Lakes define the geography and climate of this part of North America. They are magnificent freshwater inland seas, of course.
Help
I need help organizing and executing a plan for my property/chattels (land, house, barn, cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, tools, household effects, other miscellany) to get it/them sorted into categories e.g. keep, sell, donate, trash...
Someone skilled in administrative organization would be a huge help. Sorting and de-cluttering experience helpful. Craigslist, Kijiji, EBay, Facebook Marketplace, etc., or other Classified Ad sales experience a big plus. I would pay a reasonable commission for stuff successfully sold. Mechanical aptitude and experience very helpful. Able to lift and carry 30 kg would be good. Cheerful disposition always a bonus!Languages spoken

Accommodation
You would have your own bedroom and share the rest of the house.
What else ...
Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph are great towns to visit with a nice balance of rural and urban. I'm only 45 minutes from Toronto International Airport and not much further from downtown Toronto. Niagara Falls is less than two hours drive. Kitchener is on the banks of the Grand River, roughly equidistant from the Great Lakes; Ontario, Erie, Huron, and Georgian Bay.

I spent more than three months in Tony's house, Tony was like my father, teacher and friend, and Misha like my little brother.
I learned a lot of things that I had never thought to do. It wasn't like a work, it was more like help at home with the family.
Tony always looked for the things… read more
