We stayed here as our first "Workaway experience" and it was really nice. We spent almost 5 weeks with Cecilie, Tom and Lucas, supporting in everyday tasks, like helping opening the café, building a new fence for the rabbits, taking care of the animals, arranging the garden, tiding up the basement, cleaning the house...they recommended us nice
… read more places to visit in our spare time and we had nice vegetarian dishes from time to time! Also the cinnamon rolls and waffles were so good. It was nice to have breakfast all together with the café staff during the weekends. They also told us a lot of interesting things about Norwegian culture and lifestyle so it was an interesting exchange. We will miss the little Happy, the three cute Turbo Trampe, Lille Latte & Fluffy, the chickens and their three beautiful cats. All the surroundings were beautiful with forests on one side and the sea in the other one. Tussen takk and we wish you the best! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Max was very social and kind. He did everything that was expected from him and more. When he was here he build a chicken house and took care off all the animals. Max was very good with my son Lucas and took care of him like a little brother. Max became a part of this family and he is always welcome back. We are giving him the best recommendation.

I spent one and a half months here. It were really nice one and a half months. I was living in a cabin next to the house with an amazing view on the fjord. But living separated from the house had nothing to do with living separated from the family. Cecilie, Tomm, Celine and Lucas wanted and made me feel like home. The work in the garden was nice

I can totally recommend this place to everybody that wants to spend time in a really lovely place with nice people, animals and of course: good food!! Thanks a million :))You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I spent two months with Cecilie and Tom over the summer which quickly became the highlight of my trip. I worked and lived closely with many of those working at the cafe and was introduced to many people living in the area, all of which were lovely. The area in particular is stunning, the fjord is only a short walk away and is a great place to

Tom and Cecilie's family also includes many animals who all help make the cafe a very relaxed and unique environment. While staying I got to watch the two kittens Chanel and Lykkeliten(?) grow up and begin venturing outside for the first time. Their dog Happy is also always dying for attention along with Lippe who may be the most stunning cat I've ever seen.
Another stand out is the food. Most days you'll eat fresh bread, cinnamon rolls and, my personal favourite, Norwegian waffles from the cafe. Cecilie is also an amazing cook who will make sure you're always well fed. The weekly pizza and taco night traditions are something to look forward to also.
Overall, it was a absolutely wonderful experience. I already miss my Norwegian family dearly! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
