We will be starting a major restoration project on the historic Schooner in July. Due to covid we will not be sailing this season, but will still need some help to accomplish this exciting project. Our ideal volunteers will be intelligent open-minded people with a great sense of humor and a commitment to doing a good job no matter the task. We would prefer a commitment of at least two weeks.
We have met some of the most amazing, talented and diverse people through workaway, and we look forward to continuing trend. Please be in touch if you have interest and or questions.

You will get to experience the beauty of Maine, and see first hand how wooden boats are built and maintained. You will learn skills that would make anyone want you on their tall ship; rope splicing, woodwork, painting and sailing nomenclature to name a few.
We are looking for someone to do four to five hours of work in the morning on the Schooner while she is being restored. This will mostly be completing tasks assigned by the shipwright. Any experience with power tools, and or carpentry is a plus, but not necessary. If you have experience with marketing or fundraising work that is also a huge plus.
Volunteers will get to stay in a converted school bus on 75 acres of land. Food for meals will be provided and shopping will be done about once a week . Meals will be a shared duty. Sometimes you may be eating alone, and sometimes there will be group meals.
