  • Description

My name is Craig and I've lived off-grid in Hawaii for the last 25 years. I'm passionate about self-sustaining living. I love growing plants, gardening, and my two grandchildren.

My goal is to continue to simplify and minimize to the basics that are important in life.

I have a new 4 bedrooms 3 baths Off-grid home on a 1/2 acre in an incredibly unique location of 1980's lava flow, only a 5-minute walk to the ocean.

I have many projects to complete to make my self sustaining mini farm happen.

This is Puna where every day in Hawaii begins!

Come join me in my home to learn to live off the grid in Kalapana Lava Gardens.
This is not your typical commercial Hawaii experience.
I've lived off-grid for more than 25 years and I can teach you about rain harvesting and how to utilize solar panels, inverters and deep-cell batteries to power a house.
This cute and eclectic area has a small town old Hawaii atmosphere with much Aloha (Hawaiinan word for love, hello, and goodbye) - explore the area, simplify and minimize to the basics that are important in life.
There are beautiful ocean cliffs a short 5 minute walk from my home. Lots of amazing things to see and do in the area.
Here is a link to an article about my unique neighborhood:
Hawaii 5-0 actually rented my house for a day to film part of an episode in my yard (Season 5, Episode 9 Ke Koho Mamao Aku).
