Description
My name is Alicia and I live with my 6 year old daughter, one dog and three cats in the pretty town of Aracena, Andalucía, Spain. We own a beautiful finca set on 25 hectares of land and we are looking for someone to come and help us in the garden and on the land.

Volunteers will be absorbed into the everyday life of both town and country. Aracena is a small but picturesque town, 90 kms north west of Seville, where the local residents are welcoming and interested in you. The town is set around a Moorish castle located 600m above sea level in the sierras of the Province of Huelva. Surrounded by hills and farm lands, it is a typical white-washed, cobble-stoned Andalucian town where there's lots to do and see and with a vibrant cafe and bar scene. The population swells at the weekend with visiting Sevillanos and there are countless fiestas and ferias during every month of the year. It is home to the largest underground cave system in the Iberian peninsula (incredible and used in films such as James Bond). There are beautiful walks and delightful small villages to visit and we are only just over an hour from Seville, the cultural epicentre of Andalucia, and 2 hours from the Portuguese Algarve coast.

Help
We are looking for someone who is happy to do all types of gardening with and without machinery - mowing the lawn, weeding, clearing and maintaining the garden and areas around the house. Checking watering system is functioning, cleaning and maintaining pool, powerhosing, leaf blowing, checking pump working in water well and that there is enough water in tanks, picking up laundry - all sorts of fun things!! The animals are a bonus and may need fed or looked after at different times, depending on what tasks we are all doing at the time.

Accommodation
We have a cottage on the property which would suit 1 or 2 people. It has a wifi, a television and air conditioning. It has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven/hobs, dishwasher. Volunteers would be expected to prepare their own food, but I would provide it, or reimburse the purchase of it.
What else ...
We have a "very cool" Renault Kangoo which will be at your disposal. There are also popular running and biking routes throughout the Sierras. The area is rural and beautiful.
