    Description

We are a bilingual family of 5 who live in a privileged location, only 15 min by car/30 min by public transit to Madrid Centro, and a 5 min walk to Casa de Campo, Madrid’s largest public park. Our apartment has 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a huge garden, within a lovely urbanización with a large pool, a kiddie pool, a padel court, a multi-purpose court, and private parking garage. My wife and I have been together for 15 years, 8 married, and we have an active and smart 4-year-old daughter, a one-year-old who is becoming very active, and a 13-year-old shih-tzu who is nearing the end of his active years.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Besides all the cultural things Madrid has to offer, we think of our home as multicultural. We speak both English and Spanish at home. My wife and I were born in Venezuela, but we met in the US and have spent the majority of our adult lives there, between Boston, MA, Naples, FL, and Portland, OR. We have also lived in Lucern, Switzerland, Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and Barcelona. We have travelled around the globe though we have MANY other countries we would like to visit. We like making new local and international friends everywhere we go and would like bring that type of experience to our home. We have also been trying to learn a 3rd and 4th language for a while but need some extra help to actually make it happen.

  • Help

    Help

With a full house like ours, there is always something to do around here. We need help creating a safe, fun, and learning environment for the girls. We also need help with house chores like cooking, cleaning, laundry, and watering the plants. We moved here recently from a much smaller apartment, so we will also need the occasional help assembling furniture or doing DIY projects in the garden. We also like to go for walks with the whole family and an extra hand keeping everyone safe and having fun is always appreciated.

Whether you like the outdoors or exploring everything a big city has to offer, it’s all just a few minutes away. There is a Metro Ligero (public tram) stop and many bus stops nearby. Meanwhile, we are only a 5 min walk to Casa de Campo, Madrid’s largest public park, with its many natural and paved trails that accommodate whatever outdoor activities you prefer.
