  • Description

    Description

We are a permaculture station located in the town of Aracati - Ceará, 5km away from Canoa Quebrada, where it’s practiced the experimentation of community living. Sustainability and social awareness development are the focus of the project. We live in harmony with nature, and we protect it through the use of bioconstruction, the management of residues, using the compost bin, recycling, and treating our own waters with ecological septic systems.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE LIVING HERE?

We are not a stablished community. We are a permaculture station always learning to apply the principles of sustainability and community living. There are moments we have 5 peoples temporary living here. Other moments we have 2 or 3 people. If the number of people is important to you, you may ask before coming.

    10 DAYS COMMITMENT
For participating in our volunteer program, we require 10 days commitment, to ensure that experience is smooth, fluid and represents a fair exchange between the Aldeia and the volunteer, with the possibility of staying longer.

On the more subtle side, interaction with untampered manifestations of nature, touches visitors and volunteers in profound ways. We also have weekly music jams.

  • Help

    Help

Our volunteers help us to perform daily tasks such as cleaning and cooking, as well as creating and managing projects together with the inhabitants, in the areas of bioconstruction, agroforestry, administration, and design. We are always looking for yoga facilitators, arts and craftsmen, holistic healers and vegetarian/vegan cooks. The space has more the 10 bio constructed facilities, so it takes pro-activity, group work and open communication to maintain all structures. Volunteers are welcome to present their own practices and skills by facilitating internal workshops.
