    Description

We are the first veggie cooperative in the region of Berlin and Brandenburg. We grow our food all organic and plant-based. Located in the city Frankfurt (Oder), only 1,5 hours from Berlin, we connect the country-side and the country's capital. You will have the chance to grow with us and experience the whole project from the very beginning. We have just started planting in spring 2019, so everything is still new and in the progress.
Our cooperative started as a intiative of consumers being unhappy with the way their food is being produced. We want fresh and locally-grown vegetables without the suffer of any animals, but as much biodiversity as possible. Instead of getting frustrated we wanted to do something about it. Today we are a strong community working together for the same goal. We would love to welcome you on our farm, when you are also looking to make the world a better place for animals and nature, too.
Joseph, Simon and Timo are our dedicated gardeners. Freddy and Judith with the help of Veronika mostly work in the "office" and organise everything what the gardeners need on the farm and also the communitcation of our community-supported farm.
We are a young and dynamic team looking forward to introduce you in what we do and offer you space for your own ideas and initiatives, if you want to.

  • Help

    Help

On a farm, there is a lot to do like planting, weeding and harvesting. The tasks can be very diverse. No gardening experience is necessary, as we are happy to introduce you to the tasks and share our knowledge with you.

No doubt, working on a farm can be physically challenging, especially as we work in almost every weather. However, you might find tasks matching your skills and interests. On Monday we start with a weekly meeting, brainstorming about what needs to be done or what we want to do during this week. On Wednesdays we need your help for harvesting. Otherwise every week looks kind of different.

As we are living together and share an apartment, we are all responsible for the tidiness of that space and the wellbeing of everyone. In the evening we have a big (vegan) dinner all together with fresh seasonal vegetables.

It would be preferably, if you have a driving liscence. Because it is often needed to move around harvest, gear or other things at the farm to different locations. Also you have to be able to communicate in English, German is nice, but no must.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Our gardeners-apartment lays only a few hundred meters away from the farm. You will share a room with one other volunteer or the friend you are travelling with. It is fully furnished and renovated. We have a balcony, a dining room and an extra living/chill room to spend time together. We enjoy spending time together, while cooking, watching movies, going on trips in the surrounding.
In the kitchen you will find plenty of food and all basic kitchen needs. If there might be something missing, please let us know.
As mentioned before, in the evening we cook together vegan meals with the fresh harvested veggies. During the day we have a picknick at the field.

    What else ...

There is a tram station right next to our farm to go to Frankfurt (Oder), the next bigger city. You can also go there easily by bike, as it is only 5km away. Berlin is very easy to reach by train too whithin 1.5 hours.
    We are vegan-friendly!!! :)

You can park your van right at the field. It is beautiful to go to bed and wake up right next to the veggies. However, there is no running water or electricity. We have a compost toilet there. Fresh drinking water can be taken from our apartment, where you can shower, charge your phones and are always welcome for dinner and spending time together.
