    Description

    Hi there,

My name is Kellie. I love with my dear house mate who is 25 and my 7 year son (he also loves part time with his dad too,).

We have a cute house, a yurt and a great veggie patch.

I am teacher and teach Physical Education at our local Steiner School where my son also attends.

I'm mostly vegetarian and LOVE eating ethical, clean food. Eating local and reducing waste is important to me.

I have I have a spare room with a futon bed and another room that we call the "do room" which we can also set up to have travelers come stay. There is also space for camper vans if you have your own.

I've traveled loads and enjoy people but also value my own space. I'm friendly and kind and my kid is fun and funny. Quiet times in the evening are important. Occasionally will have a glass of wine around the fire.

I can offer accommodation and basic food in exchange for 20 hours of work per week. I'd be good to chat about the exchange so we are clear and its feels fair on both sides. I've had some really great work away experiences and some mediocre ones.

Id love some help with maintaining the day to day like dishes, washing, sweeping floors, collecting kindling and chopping wood, cooking dinner, cleaning after breakfast and so on.

I also have lots of things that I want to get done around the house as well including (but not limited to):
    - sanding and painting living room
    - a simple bathroom renovation (adding shelving and a bench top)
    - rigging a shade sail
    - building a chicken coop
    - renovating the cubby house
    -building a quail home
    - cooking
    - cleaning
    - sorting out and helping me to get rid of my excess things on market place and give away sites.
    - putting up (or building) a garden shed
    - moving furniture
    - creating a garden path
    - peeling wall paper and painting inside
    -building shelves

3-21 day stay available. Couples welcome. Kids welcome. Chats and clarity key.

Travelers would benefit from staying with us because we are fun and great and because the near by towns and nature are really beautiful.

There are a lot of native bird and treesaround and the river is walking distance.

We would hope working together would be fun and that there would also be enough space for the travelers to explore the area.

We believe that we would have good chats and that people would feel welcome and, most likely, leave with a friend after their experience.

We are very open and have great insight into what's on and many other excellent connections around Victoria and all around Australia.

We are independent people who enjoy other and we would hope to work along side travelers who come to stay where we can but would also need helpers to be self motivated and able to follow through in our absence (like when we are at work). We will be so grateful for the extra help.

I can also be a good reference for future work.

    What else ...

There is so much nature to discover around Castlemaine and Dayelsford which are nearby and easy drives. Ballarat and Bendigo aren't too far either.

There's are buses that run daily from Newstead (where I live) into Castlemaine and there are regular trains to Melbourne and Bendigo from Castlemaine.

The river is walking distance from my house as are a couple of local cafes. It's a small town but it's lovely.
