You'll live a very pleasant experience through your staying with us. We are almost totally self-sufficient. We live in the forest (Ardenne) and we produce vegetables, electricity, soap, bread, kombucha, infusions, vinegar, ...
Antoine is qualified as an herbalist and french cooking chef. Nancy is on her side sociologist and nature guide. We both are biodynamic farmer, carpenter and wild edible plant teacher.
Our cultural interest has brought us in a one year world trip, looking for meeting people, traditional way of living and wonderful exchanges.
We don't have television, we love reading books and we don't smoke.
We play harp, practice carpentry, pottery and yoga.
We love to be happy, we work and share with passion.
There is a lot of chores to do. At moment we're looking for help to finish our eco-project: a gipsy caravan. We have to finish the tiny house from inside: electricity, water system, carpentry (wood on the walls),...
So we are looking after manual people who are able to drill screws, saw board, ... We work always together and we are looking for help to go on faster ;-)
In total we ask 4hrs per day helping, 5 days a week, with a maximum staying of one week.
You will stay in a cottage in the middle of fields and the forest. The cottage is for maximum 3 workawayers. So if you come alone, you will probably live a nice experience with other workawayers. There is a wood-burning stove, to keep the cottage warm and relaxing. It's often the opportunity to perform the "fire-making-skills" or to learn it 😉
There is no water in the cottage. You can take showers at our place and we provide water bottles for the cottage. There is also no electricity. We will furnish lights ans candles. You can charge your smartphone at our place, but we don't have enough electricity to charge your computer. Staying at our place is the right place to switch of internet and to reconnect yourself with mother earth.
From June - September it doesn't freeze anymore in Belgium. Than you can also come with your tent or we can give you one.
If you come, please take ecological soap with you to respect the area and biodiversity in our place. You will need waterproof shoes and old working clothes.
We cook and eat vegetarian and organic together, it's always a pleasure.
