Description
Welcome to our family-run B&B in the beautiful countryside of County Sligo!
My parents, Charles and Christa, have been welcoming guests from all over the world for more than 30 years. They have built up a wonderful reputation for their warm hospitality and are now beginning to slow down and enjoy their retirement. I, Robert, have recently returned home to help them continue running the B&B and caring for our home.
We're a small, friendly household with two much-loved pets: our cat, Snowy, and our dog, Rocky, who are always happy to meet new people.
Our home is in a peaceful rural setting, surrounded by beautiful scenery. I love making the most of the area by hiking, paragliding, and surfing, and I'm always happy to point visitors towards the best local spots. Sligo Town is just 20 km away, with a regular bus service nearby. We provide bicycles so it's easy to cycle to and from the bus stop whenever you'd like to explore the area.
We take great pride in maintaining our home and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. As my parents transition into retirement, we're looking for a helping hand with breakfast preparation and housekeeping. This is a paid position, with an hourly wage of €14.15 per hour.
In return, you'll become part of our family, experience life in rural Ireland, and have plenty of opportunities to explore the stunning beaches, mountains, and outdoor activities that make this part of the country so special.
We look forward to welcoming someone who is friendly, reliable, enjoys meeting people, and would like to experience authentic Irish country life while being part of a relaxed family atmosphere. -

Help
We are looking for a reliable and friendly person to join our team at our welcoming B&B. This is a paid position where you'll help with breakfast preparation and housekeeping to ensure our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Your duties will include preparing and serving breakfast, clearing and cleaning the dining area, making beds, cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms, and helping keep the property clean and well presented.
The position is paid at €14.15 per hour, and we are looking for someone who is organised, hardworking, and enjoys working in a hospitality environment. Experience is welcome but not essential, as we are happy to provide training for the right person.
If you enjoy meeting people from around the world and being part of a small, friendly team, we'd love to hear from you! -

What else ...
There is plenty to enjoy during your time off! We are surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in Ireland, with endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. Hiking trails, stunning beaches, sea swimming, surfing, and excellent fishing are all just a short drive away.
Sligo is well known for its dramatic coastline, surf beaches, and the spectacular landscapes that inspired the poet W.B. Yeats. We are happy to recommend our favourite local walks, beaches, and hidden gems.
In Sligo town, you'll find plenty of cafés, restaurants, pubs with traditional Irish music, shops, and cultural attractions.
We want our helpers to enjoy not only their work but also everything this wonderful part of Ireland has to offer, and we're always happy to share local knowledge and help you make the most of your stay. -

Charles and Christa are lovely, kind and attentive. They drove me to places where I could hike (Knocknarea, Glencar) or see something interesting (Sligo, Strandhill, Drumcliff). I had long walks on the beach (which is just 5 min walks from the hotel =D) with Calie the dog. … read more
