    Description

Hello! We are a boutique language center located in Tsetserleg, the beautiful capital of Arkhangai province. Known as the "Switzerland of Mongolia," our town is surrounded by stunning mountains, larch forests, and is just a short drive from legendary sites like Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake and Khorgo Volcano.
Our center serves students from ages 6 to 18. Many are from nomadic backgrounds and are working hard to pass university entrance exams to change their futures. As a former Tourism General Manager and a Business major, I run this center to provide high-quality education in a rural setting.
    The Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic English speakers to help our students with:
Conversational English: Just talking to them! Helping them lose the fear of speaking.
Exam Prep: Assisting the lead teacher with pronunciation and listening exercises.
Cultural Exchange: Sharing stories about your country, food, and traditions.
    What’s in it for you?
Authentic Living: You won't be a tourist; you’ll be part of the community.
Adventure: On weekends, I can help organize trips to the nearby hot springs, horseback riding, or visits to nomadic families.
Comfort: Unlike many rural placements, we operate in our own permanent building with modern amenities.
Mongolian Hospitality: We provide comfortable accommodation and 3 traditional home-cooked meals a day.
    Requirements:
    Native or fluent English speaker.
Positive energy and a love for working with kids/teens.
    Minimum stay: 2-4 weeks (preferred).

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We're all about creating a meaningful cultural exchange. It is important to us that volunteers feel like part of the family. Whether you are here to learn, share skills, or just have a unique experience, we are excited to meet you!
Note: "I am a business professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and over 8 years of experience as a General Manager in the Tourism industry. After years of managing travel operations, I decided to follow my passion for education and opened my own language center in my hometown of Tsetserleg, Arkhangai.
Currently, I operate out of my own permanent building, where I teach English to students aged 6-18. My background in management helps me run the school with a structured and professional approach. I am also a published author of an English exam preparation book specifically designed for Mongolian students.
Staying with me means you’ll be hosted by someone who deeply understands both the business of education and the world of Mongolian tourism. I love sharing my management insights and my deep knowledge of Arkhangai’s hidden gems with my volunteers."

    Help

I teach English - from beginner to advanced levels - to children aged 8-18. I have taught alone for two years but am now looking to expand with the help of amazing community-minded volunteers (like yourself!)
Although we are relatively new, we have accumulated significant experience, and my background in tourism will help me be a great host for you!
If you are interested in a culturally immersive experience and enjoy sharing your knowledge, we welcome you to apply!

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Volunteers will stay in a mongolian ger /small tourist camp/ near my location, which I am working with them. It is in a very safe area with lots to do nearby! Mongolian meals are very different from other cultures' normal diet, and I worry that eating only Mongolian food may not be as good for your body and enjoyment. So, I will buy groceries for volunteers, and you can cook independently at your ger. If you have any dietary needs/ restrictions (vegetarian, etc) then let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you. Also, we have good wifi and an office that is quiet and comfortable with electrical outlets for use as a working space.
Therefore, we have space for a campervan in our town.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

"We offer a 4–5 hour workday, 5 days a week, leaving you plenty of time to explore!
Our town, Tsetserleg, is incredibly safe, peaceful, and perfect for walking. You can hike up the nearby mountains for a breathtaking view of the valley or visit the historic Zaya Gegeen Monastery.
As a tourism professional, I’m happy to help you organize weekend trips to Arkhangai’s famous landmarks, such as the Khorgo Volcano, Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, or the Tsenkher Hot Springs. We have a private car and can assist with local transport.
This is a great place to experience authentic Mongolian life while being surrounded by some of the country’s most beautiful nature!"
