Description
We are small NGO in South-East Estonia. The centre of the community is ca 150 years old ecologically renovated Manor by the river, surrounded by beautiful old park-trees. The heart of the community is small alternative (democratic) school and childcare where we together create and value the atmosphere of kindness, peace and joy of life.
The Manor house is open for public and in addition to school and childcare it holds community Library, Organic shop, Circus shop, carpentry and ceramic workshop and other services for locals and tourist. We hold movie nights, different workshops, concerts or performances. There is always things happening and spontaneous activities take place.
This place is unique and full of life where sustainable living, culture, arts and friends meet. We welcome volunteers who are alcohol- and drug-free and respect our peaceful atmosphere.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Volunteers can participate in our daily activities, also using community Library, learning circus tricks, participating in events, going for swim, going hiking in the woods and bogs (we have bikes for use) and spending time with shetland pony. We have also smoke-sauna and wooden hot tub both by the river.

Help
In August we need help with building, fixing, restoration, trimming, brush cutting etc. for helping to prepare the area around the manor for outdoor school and child care.
From September onwards we are welcoming also volunteers who would like help out with school or child care. Especially we need help with cooking vegan food for the kids and teachers. Also we are happy to get help with teaching languages, art, music, acrobatics/ circus or other skills and knowledge that come with volunteer.
You don`t need to be an expert to work here, but open minded and open hearted and able to work independently.Languages spoken

We can offer you dormitory with shared kitchen and shower/toilet. Must be prepared to share the room depending on amount of volunteers.

What else ... We are situated about 20 km from Võru and 8 km from Rõuge. Beautiful landscape, traditional vs modern living, history and culture just waiting for you to discover. In Võru you can find many shops, restaurants, art galleries, nice park and beach (lake Tamula) and bus services to Tartu, Tallinn and Valga. Local attractions include Observation Tower on Suur Munamägi, Suur ja Väike Taevaskoda (sandstone outcrops), Otepää Adventure Park etc. For nature lovers there are plenty of varieties to enjoy beautiful Estonian nature and meet wild life.
