    Description

Hi! We are Hodei and Julia. We live in an old house in Llanera, Asturias. A typical house here, with a "panera" and stables.
Hodei studied Biology and I (Julia) studied Environmental Engineering, and we both specialized in Ecology. We try to live a sustainable and food sovereignty life in our home, for which we have a small garden, some fruit trees, hens and a small sheep herd. We also practice yoga and pilates, as Julia is an instructor of both.
Our house is a family house from the 1890's and we are slowly renovating it. We try to do as much as we can for ourselves, but we really don´t know much about this... It is a big house and although it can look uncomfortable at first, we can assure you, you will feel at home.
Hodei is from the Basque Country so he speaks basque, spanish and some english, and Julia speaks spanish, english and a tiny bit of italian. We are really open people, we enjoy very much being in company and learning from others.
We would like to host people who are as open-minded as we are, who love the countryside and who are not afraid of challenges.
We need help, but mostly we are seeking your knowledge, in the garden, with the animals, making cheese, restoring old wooden furniture, the renovation.... Anything works, we are sure we will learn a lot from each other!

At the moment the house has 2 shared bedrooms with 2 individual beds each (there are some more rooms). There´s only 1 bathroom for everyone, including us. Althought we would like to have another bathroom upstairs. You would share the entire house with us, as if it were yous.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Some activities here are: palace routes, water mill routes, country roads for hiking. There are also markets, cattle show
and town parties ("fiestas de pueblo/prao")
Oviedo, Gijón and Avilés, the 3 big cities in Asturias are just 20-30 minutes away.
There is no public transportation from the house, but the nearest town with buses/trains is just 5-10 minutes away by car, 30 minutes away afoot. But we are free to take helpers to the nearest bus/train by car.
