    Description

Hello! I’m Aralia, a traveler who decided to stop for a while (and that “while” has already become eleven years!) in a beautiful place in the mountains of Gran Canaria.

I live in Teror, a small town about 20 km from Las Palmas. This is the greenest area of the island, surrounded by nature and many hiking trails. It’s a peaceful and authentic Canarian village with around 13,000 inhabitants.

In winter (December to May), the weather can be quite humid and surprisingly cold for the Canary Islands. Temperatures can drop to 7°C, which feels cold compared to the warmer coastal areas.

I manage a big house that offers a calm and creative stay in the middle of nature, connected to ecological farming and a respectful use of resources. A space for creativity, exchange, and simple living.

The house is surrounded by hiking trails and nature. The closest bus stop is about a 40-minute walk from the house. Las Palmas, where most social and cultural activities take place, is about 30 minutes by bus, with connections every 30 minutes until 11 pm (€2.30 each way).

Teror is quiet and local. You won’t find parties, big nightlife, or many international people here. But if you are looking for nature and an authentic experience of Gran Canaria, this might be your place.

Respect for the space is essential.

    - It's a peaceful place to observe nature. We ask for silence during nighttime hours.

    - It's a non-smoking space.

    - It's a drug-free space. Alcohol consumption is permitted in small amounts.

    - We conserve resources. Water and electricity will be used responsibly.

    - Wastewater is recycled to water the trees. It's very important not to flush anything down the toilet and to avoid using chemical products.

    - It's a feminist and inclusive space. Sexist, fascist, or disrespectful attitudes toward any group will not be tolerated.

If you've read this far, thank you.

Let's play a little game. If you decide to write to me, include the word "butterfly" in your request. That way I'll know you're interested in my profile and that you understand the rules and how things work. It's important to me.
