    Description

We're Amrei and Simon, ... and our children Fridolin (born December 2014) and Olivia (born June 2017) :D

We're a little family who enjoys nature, some of us climb, and most often, our vacations are longer bike trips. We contribute actively to certain travel communities.

We took over a pretty big house with a great garden, but besides working and raising children, there is not as much time left to take care of everything as we would like it to be. Our house has approximately 200m2 and around 1000m2 of the garden.

I (Simon) am working as an Open Source Software Developer and working remotely most of the time. In my free time, I do a lot of climbing - multi-pitches, sport climbing, and bouldering.

Amrei is a Sustainability Educator with side projects and tries to do workshops about Sustainability but also has its own "Second hand"-like shop, where people bring stuff they don't need and can take whatever they want without any prices. One project focuses on Sustainability and is something like Sustainability parties at home with friends.

Our kids are occupied with being kids, going to school and kindergarten. Enjoying their lives and exploring and adventure whenever possible.

We're trying to live as sustainably as possible. We can share many hacks and tricks on being sustainable (washing with ivy or chestnuts is only the tip of the iceberg). Furthermore, we can show your our beautiful nature around, and maybe also do some climbing, and help you develop your computer skills.

  • Help

    Help

We need your help in our garden, like mowing the lawn, trying to win battles with the snails, protecting our harvest, and fixing minor things, like a part of the rotten fence that needs replacement. All those little chores for the garden.

Additionally, we would love you to help in the house, doing regular chores like the dishes and cleaning (vacuuming the living room, etc., occasionally). We can cook together. We don't have to. We can only do it once or twice a week. We're open to cooking and creating meal options. This is more like an optional thing.

    Accommodation

You'll have your room and bath in a separate house area. You're free to use the garden or all other amenities. There will be matrasses and pillows and blankets. Currently, there is one queen-sized bed, one single-person bed, and two mattresses.

There is no kitchen in your separate area, so that we will share the kitchen. Also, the washing machine is within your bathroom, but we can discuss and agree upon times when it is okay for us to use the bathroom to wash our clothes.
