    Description

My husband, Matthew, will be away for work most of the time during April and most of May. I am therefore looking for an au pair who would be willing to assist me during this time.

I am looking for someone not just to spend quality play time with my thirteen-month old boy, but someone who will also enable me to do so, by helping with cooking and housework. I am extremely particular about the way I run my kitchen, so I would expect any au pair to follow the system I use. Specifically, I would expect them to help themselves to breakfast and tidy up after themselves afterwards, and make either dinner or lunch for either us and/or the baby every weekday. I will need three hours every weekday to do my work (from home) also, and this can include the baby’s nap time. Lastly, we built a new house in the countryside, and moved in just before Christmas, so the house still needs a lot of organisation, and I need help painting and repurposing two items of furniture. This kind of work I would do together with our au pair after the baby has gone to bed for the night.

I am a classical, self-employed cellist, so I would be also looking for someone who would be willing to come on a small tour of two specific areas of Ireland (Donegal and Mayo) with me for dates in April. A shared hotel room would be provided for these dates.

If you love walks in rural settings and spending time with young children, be in touch!

Staying with us would be an opportunity to improve English language skills and experience the beautiful countryside of the West of Ireland. We also live close by to a yoga studio and a typical Irish pub, where there are often traditional Irish music sessions.
