  We are a couple (born -52 and -64) with long experience in self-sufficiency gardening. I am a teacher in self-sufficiency gardening and permaculture at the local folk high scool, my husband is an acupuncturist, reflexologist and healer.

  You may be inspired by our self-sufficiency style of life and may like to learn about gardening, wild edible plants, food-fermenting, permaculture etc. We are looking forward to have many interesting chats about everything between micro-life in the soil to global issues, dreams, hopes and fears for the future on this planet and many good laughs.

  Help

  Most of the time we will work together in the garden. If you stay longer you will have some own areas of responsibility. A longer stay also makes it possible to learn more different tasks. The tasks here are very varied and follow the season, involving everything needed to be done in self-sufficiency gardening.
  Except for gardening there could be some maintenance work, such as painting and also some cleaning such as widow sweeping, depending on the season.

  We have good experiences of guests learning Swedish with us. If you want to learn we are ready to help and practice. I would be happy to refresh my school-french with someone who is patient. :-)

  Accommodation

  You will stay in our cozy ecological renovated guesthouse with two rooms, kitchen and an ecological toilet. We will cook and eat most meals together and you will use the shower in our house. See photos of the bedroom and the entrance to the guesthouse.

  What else ...

  We live in the beautiful landscape known worldwide through the books and films of Astrid Lindgren. In your spare time you may take walks in the forest or you borrow a bike and go swimming in the lake, or you may want to visit the small towns of Vimmerby or Västervik.
