Description
We are located in the heart of Quito, right in the old town. Here we consider ourselves somewhere in between a Hotel and a Hostel where you can have fun and still relax and rest peacefully.

Our hostel is run by an Ecuadorian family. We share every day with volunteers, prepare traditional Ecuadorian dishes, and share our unique cultures with one another on a daily basis. We also value language exchange and switch between Spanish and other languages throughout the day to create and enriching learning experiences for our volunteers.
We offer information about activities and other fun spots in the city, such as museums, plazas, churches, concerts, restaurants, markets and more.
Help
Volunteers are generally needed to work at the reception desk. They work 5 hours a day swapping shifts with other volunteers. Volunteers answer tourists´ questions, show them their rooms, and help the guests with whatever they might need.
Apart from that, we need a hand in general duties such as cooking, cleaning, and making beds. In exchange we offer a bed in the volunteer dorm and 2 meals a day.
We expect our volunteers to stay for a minimum of one month and generally can host four volunteers at time. Volunteers are welcome to stay longer than one month as well.
It is necessary that all volunteers are fluent in English and know a little bit of spanish, as the owners only speak spanish.

Volunteers generally have one day off a week. There is lots to do in Quito including many museums, parks, and different neighbourhoods to visit. Additionally, volunteers can arrange to take a few more days off and travel to different parts of Ecuador (Quilotoa, Otavalo, Papallacta, Baños, the coast, etc.). Public transportation is excellent in Quito and in Ecuador, so volunteers can get around easily. We are located very close to Old Town in a neighbourhood called La Tola, only a few blocks away from the three main bus lines.

Bodo was always on time and willing to help us, very focus on his spanish classes, he improved his spanish 50% the time he was with us, very eager to learn and also practicing with the guests and the family.
For sure he will be completely fluent soon.

I had a great one month stay here...Ornelia, Paulina, Luis, and all the other volunteers were very welcoming. The work isn't difficult, and you meet many other travellers as well as have the opportunity to see Quito and the surrounding area. A relaxed atmosphere, good food, and good company!

I stayed there for a month as a volunteer and I loved it! I felt at home and as a part of the house in Quito family :) The work is really diversified and never gets boring.
