  Hi, we're Steve and Sandy, we have a lifestyle block in Tauwhare, Waikato, where we attempt to live self-sufficiently, growing our own vegetables, fruit, nuts and berries in a semi-organic way. Our elderly Dad lives in Coromandel and grows his own food too. We're looking for someone who would be keen to help us on our block, as well as potentially spending some time helping our Dad at the beach, with general housework and gardening over the Summer holidays.
  
  Tauwhare is 15 minutes from Hamilton, Cambridge and Morrinsville, we have fantastic rural views over the rolling countryside, with the convenience of towns nearby. From home it's a 2km walk to bus services into Hamilton. There are many local tourist attractions nearby, including Hamilton Gardens, Waitakaruru Sculpture Park, Hobbiton, Waitomo Glow Worms, and Hauraki Rail Trail, within an hour radius.
  
  Coromandel township is a scenic 2.5 hr drive from Hamilton, and also a ferry ride from Auckland via Waiheke Island. There are beautiful harbour views from Dad's home, and beaches for safe swimming within walking distance.

  We are professional New Zealanders, and Dad is German. We'd love to share our kiwi culture with international workawayer's and learn about your culture as well. We have almost organic gardening practices and there's always build projects going on around our block. We have a wonderful outdoor area with views for sunset meals, and are developing a native bush area with pond, with frogs and ducks in the pond.

  Help

  In Tauwhare, we'd like some gardening help, including preparing gardens after Winter, and weeding vegetable, berry and flower gardens. We would be working together in the weekends.
  
  In Coromandel, some low maintenance gardening, along with some general housework and meal preparation would be great. You'd have the company of our Dad, and we'd be there as well.

  We offer a bedroom with queen bed, ensuite and direct external access, within our family home.
  Dad's home in Coromandel has a self-contained flat.
  
  We would prefer to share meals, and can cater for any allergies. We would be fine to cook all meals, but if you are keen to share your local cuisine and cook, happy for that too!

  What else ...

  We are close to public transport in Tauwhare, and if you have your own vehicle, there's parking available. In Coromandel you would need your own car for your own activities.
  
  We do have bicycles available for use.
  
  There is a local craft brewery close by us in Tauwhare, along with tourist attractions nearby (parks, gardens, museums etc)
