    Description

This opportunity is available from approximately 6th April 2024, for at least one month. Sorry but we are not able to accept applications for future periods, as it depends how long our workawayers will stay.

Our names are Lanny and Claire, we own a small dive centre with apartments in Tulum, Mexico that specialises in Cave and Technical training.

We are also active with local dog charities that helps out with animals in need. We have fostered over 190 dogs and can have additional foster dogs to look after, as well as our own four dogs and six cats.

Tulum is a growing town in Quintana Roo, Mexico. It is a couple of hours south of Cancun and has a great beach and the best cave diving in the world.

We are looking for a couple who can help us with our rescue dogs, our apartments and our dive clients. The main roles are dog walking each morning, packed lunch preparations for our dive guests, plus some administrative help, maintenance of our apartments and driving. One of our dogs is disabled, so she uses a rear wheelchair to go on her walks.

You must have a driving licence and ideally be able to speak Spanish.

If you don't like dogs, then this not a suitable Workaway for you! We already have dive centre staff, so unfortunately we don't need any help running the cave diving centre.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There is loads to do in Tulum - eco tours, a great beach, ruins, good bars and restaurants. Although we are in a nice quiet neighbourhood, it is less than a mile to the centre of town and transport to the bigger towns of Playa del Carmen and Cancun is frequent and cheap.
