Update 22/11, from November 9 the Norwegian goverment has introduced new rules for entry:
- Travelers from red countries must show a certificate on a negative Covid-19 test when entering Norway. The test must have been taken less than 72 hours before entry. Here you can read more about the test and who the requirement applies to.
- Those who do not have a residence or have an employer or client in Norway who can provide a suitable place to stay when entering Norway must stay in a quarantine hotel for the first then days after entry to Norway. It is still possible to visit Norway, but visitors must spend their first ten days at a quarantine hotel and test themselves during their quarantine period.
It is likely that the rules that have now been introduced at some point will change again, but we do not know when this will happen or what new rules may be introduced.

Welcome to our a cozy little cottage by the fjord. Here we live close to nature and it´s arctic seasons. Winter nights with dancing aurora lights and long summerdays under the midnight sun. We are two friends living together with the most cuddly dog Nuka. Here you can go fishing with our little rowing boat, read a book in the hammock, enjoy bonfire nights or relax with a sauna.
There are lots of outdoor activities to be done just outside the door. Hiking, climbing and kayaking are just some of them. The city of Tromsø is a 30 minutes drive away, you can take the bus or get a lift. Nearest grocery store is 4 km away.
We need help with small projects around the house and general maintenance. That could be chopping wood, gardening and painting. If you want to take the dog for a walk you´re also more than welcome, she´s always up for a hike!
At the cottage we enjoy tasty food, time outside and good times with our friends. We hope that we can give you a taste of arctic living!

Help around the house
Situated close to nature you will get a unique experience of arctic wildlife. The fjord gives home to seal, whale, otter and lots of fish and birds. There are also reindeers, moose and fox to be seen. The change in seasons gives a different way of living, you´re really depending on nature.
For this winter we need help to chop wood, general maintenance and remove mud around the cabin. There are also times there is use for dogwalking.
You will have your own room, we provide towels and bedding. We mostly have a vegetarian diet, but sometimes we go out fishing and eat the fish we catch. You are also welcome to try fishing! Meals are provided together with accommodation. Sometimes you may have to cook your own dinner as we work shifts, but we mainly try to eat together.
