Welcome to Amarante!
My grandmother Maria will be delighted to welcome you to her home. She owns a house with land in a village near the town of Amarante, just 3 km away. Amarante is in northern Portugal. She keeps chickens and has a garden that she'd like to cultivate more, but finds it hard to manage. That's why I'm asking for your help! I'm her granddaughter, Maria Eduarda, and I'm the person you'll contact before you arrive.

Ma grand-mère Maria sera ravie de vous accueillir chez elle. Elle possède une maison avec un terrain dans un village près de la ville d'Amarante, à seulement 3 km de distance. Amarante est située dans le nord du Portugal. Elle élève des poules et a un jardin qu'elle aimerait cultiver d'avantage mais peine à tout gérer c'est pour ceci que j'appelle à votre précieuse aide ! Je suis sa petite fille Maria Eduarda et c’est avec moi que vous aurez le contact avant d’arriver sur place.

Minha avó Maria ficará feliz em recebê-lo em sua casa. Ela possui uma casa com um terreno em uma vila próxima à cidade de Amarante, a apenas 3 km de distância. Amarante está localizada no norte de Portugal. Ela cria galinhas e tem um jardim que gostaria de cultivar mais, mas tem dificuldade em lidar com tudo, é por isso que peço sua valiosa ajuda!

Our Portuguese family is very welcoming. We organize one or two dinners every week to get together, and we would be happy to invite you to take part as well. My grandmother will be able to teach you Portuguese and tell you the history of the village, where several generations of our family lived.
Notre famille portugaise est très accueillante. Nous organisons chaque semaine un ou deux dîners pour nous retrouver tous ensemble, et ce serait avec joie que nous vous inviterions à y prendre part également. Ma grand-mère pourra vous enseigner le portugais et vous raconter l'histoire du village, où plusieurs générations de notre famille ont vécu.
Help
The help required will mainly be in the garden such as planting, cleaning, feeding the chickens and taking them out. My grandmother has no health problems and does not require any personal assistance.
L'aide demandé sera principalement dans le jardin comme planter, nettoyer, nourrir les poules et les sortir. Ma grand-mère n’a aucun problème de santé et ne nécessite d’aucune assistance personnelle.

What else ...
There is a river 5 minutes walk from the house where you can swim and forests all around. You can easily get to the town of Amarante or even visit Porto which is 50 minutes away by coach.
Il y'a une rivière à 5minutes à pieds de la maison où vous pouvez vous baigner et des forêts tout autour.
Vous pouvez facilement vous rendre à la ville Amarante ou même visiter Porto qui est à 50 minutes en autocar.
