Description
I live in a small, cozy cottage located right on the edge of the Wild Atlantic Way in Dingle, County Kerry. The house is just a 7-minute walk from the lively center of Dingle town, where you can find great traditional music, local shops, and restaurants. It is a peaceful, scenic spot that puts the best of the coast right at your doorstep.
I share my home with my three super friendly cats: Lucy, Whiskey, and Gin. They are very affectionate, low-maintenance, and love company (especially Lucy loves her snuggles, she is the mum) -

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Dingle is part of Irish speaking part of Ireland also referred to as Gaeltacht. There is a strong focus on it and many classes offered locally.
Visitors can enjoy set dancing, Irish music as well as other local arts and crafts in the town. I myself am a well know Dingle musician and songwriter and can help organise a program. -
Help
I am looking for a reliable, quiet, independent animal lover to house-sit and look after the cats while I am away.
Your daily tasks will include:
Feeding Lucy, Whiskey, and Gin and making sure they have fresh water. They are usually fed twice a day
Giving them plenty of love, attention, head scratches and cuddles.
Keeping the small cottage clean and tidy.
Watering a few house or garden plants -

Accommodation
The cottage works as a studio apartment.
It is heated with a beautiful old school solid fuel stove heating the entire apartment.
Pet sitters will sleep on a super cozy king size sleeper sofa bed.
Fresh cozy sheets, extra linens and new duvets and pillows of course provided
There is a petrol station 2 minutes away where fuel for the stove (logs, coal or brickets - not provided) and basic food supplies can be bought.
Pet sitters are asked to provide for their own food. Larger Supermarkets are located in Dingle town.
(Garveys Supervalue, Spar or Lidl)
I also provide a bike with basket and trailer for transport
There is an old fashioned coin electricity metre in the house taking €1 and €2 coins. A basic amount of credit will be available on the meter, everything exceeding is kindly asked to be added on my the sitter.
To give you an idea: I use around €2 a day. -
What else ...
Free time:
Do the slea head drive, or even better cycle!
Go to Ventry’s finest Quinn’s pub and enjoy a scenic pint overlooking the beach.
join a trad session in Nelligan’s pub
Or a social sing along in Kennedy’s on Tuesdays
hike up mount brandon on a sunny day
go check out the aquarium when it rains
House rules:
Be sound 😊
No smoking inside the cottage.
Please connect with my space and leave your shoes at the door.
No parties or loud music. The neighbours are elderly and appreciate the calm and quiet.
The cottage is only for your own use, please don’t bring guests. -

Gin
Lucy (7 years)
This girly is an absolute snuggle bug. Loves her fishy whiskas and is a feisty huntress.
She is also Whiskey and Gin’s mum. (Don’t be fooled by her size)
