    Description

    We have a unique property close to town but with a rural feel. Surrounded by birds and established gardens you will have sole vacancy of our self contained flat . Shane hunts and Amanda loves to cook, so weekends can be spent exploring Hawkes Bay’s hunting spots and /or local produce and if you wish coming home to cook or be cooked for . We have bees hives , fruit trees and gardens. We would love for you to be a part of our family or give you your own space , whatever you prefer . Opportunities to meet our friends, family and pets and visit local tourist spots. We have two children 10 and 16. A cat and a dog.

    While you are here we are more than happy to teach you about the kiwi culture , cooking , hunting , English and general gardening as well as take you to some local hot spots .
    Our children would love to play football and volleyball or talk with you as well as us.

    Our large garden needs general maintenance , small fix-it jobs like mending and building garden boxes and tresseling
    Weeding , replanting etc , house keeping. Applicants need to be able to work on their own most of the time
    -Happy to have couples.
    25hours each person a week work would be expected for room and lodging . We love people who work hard and take initiative,

    Self contained flat next to the house with queen sized bed , own washing machine(to do own washing ) , Own bathroom and kitchen. Heating via heat pump and unlimited wifi.
    Food:
    Breakfast provided in your own flat : cereals and toast tea and coffee
    Lunches provided ( left over dinners from the night before) or cut lunch with fruit and baking etc .

    Dinners with family . Please note : We eat meat but a good deal of vegetables as well. Amanda is a chef tutor . You won’t go hungry.
    Happy to negotiate food and can cater for Some diets but not vegan sorry 😐

    Close by we have farmers markets , bush walks and bike rides ( you can use our bikes )
    We have beautiful beaches, wineries and restaurants. Art Deco tours, national aquarium of New Zealand . Natural hot springs.
    We enjoy meeting new people and hanging out with friends . We are involved with a local Christian church and cub scouts nz . We love to eat good food , build fires , watch movies , play board games.
