  • Description

Acorn Farms: located 27 km from the Okanagan Valley in B.C. Canada. Surrounded by low mountains and many lakes and rivers.
Acorn Farms is an organic off-grid farm; Including greenhouses and approximately 1/4 acre of garden space.
We have goats, llama, and a horse, plus several cats and a dog.
Duties would include watering plants, greenhouse transplanting, garden weeding, soil preparation, planting of seeds, transplanting, learning about organic farming in the area, and collecting wood for the following winter.
Learn about fencing, care for livestock, and sustainable grazing practices. We are very open to learning new ideas from you as well. We share the cooking and daily chores.
During July & August, we can get temperatures in the mid 30 degrees Celsius. We start early and end by noon to beat the heat.
You can learn more about alternative living and Alternative Medicine.
I would like to learn some Spanish, and I am open to knowledge in many areas of life.
