    Description

We are a small community and we grow over 40 different kinds of fruits and veggies as well as herbs for our CSA (Community supported agriculture). Everything is organic. We have some Greenhouses with tomatoes and we know a lot about vegetable cultivation. Our life here is basic but we like the idea to have a little impact as possible. There is a apple garden where everyone stays in the summer with an outdoor kitchen and a fireplace. There are a great many building projects going on this summer. So except gardening, we are looking for people who would like to help us with that.

Our place ist 60 km in the north of Munich. Please keep in mind, that we live in the garden and there is just cold water and no heating system. So come in the summer, if you get cold easily.
In Germany there is a phrase: "Nur die harten kommen in den Garten" which means: Only the tough ones come into the garden ;)

At our place you can learn a lot about growing organic food without using many machines. We love to work togehter and accomplish something that makes the world a better place. We know a lot about local wild plants and eco-friendly livestyle. We upcycle a lot of stuff and try to reduce plastic waste.

    Help

You can work in a varity of tasks like gardening, repairing stuff and raising new infrastructures.
We grow vegetables and herbs for 50 people. You can help us with weeding, planting, harvesting, digging, irrigation and everything else regarding organic vegetable growing. As for woodworking, we are not that skilled in that ourselves. So if you are very good in it, we follow and you can have your own little project.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

    Sleeping
Depending on the availability, the accommodation will be the farmhouse, a caravan, a tipi, a small cabin or your own tent if you want to bring one with you. It's quite basic and you will be living outside almost all the time.
It's good if you bring your own sleeping bag and mat, but it's not super neccessary.
    There is no washing mashine.

    Parking
If you wish to come by car please let us know in advance as we haven't many parking spaces

    Food
We eat vegetarian and vegan food which is seasonal, regional and organic wholefood. Vegetables and wild foods are mostly from our own garden. We get extras like nuts, seeds, grain and legumes from a food cooperative in Munich, and from local organic farms.

    Hygiene
There is cold running water in the Summer
We use a simple compost toilet.

    Fun and Games, activities
We welcome all musical instruments. We have bicycles so you can do small trips around in your free time. There are forests nearby and we find mushrooms sometimes.
