Description
Hello and welcome! I'm Ivona - the host at a small, evolving eco project nestled in nature, where simplicity, sustainability, and creativity come together. I live only 30mins away from the most beautiful National park in Croatia- Plitvice lakes and 7mins walking to the beautiful Korana river.
I live a peaceful life surrounded by trees, animals, and a love for the Earth. I share my home with two lovely and curious cats, a flock of chickens, a garden that’s always teaching me something new and treehouses where I welcome guests from all over the world.
The project is all about living in harmony with nature, growing food, building with natural materials, and creating a space where people can reconnect — with themselves and the environment.
I’m always happy to welcome open-hearted volunteers who enjoy quiet natural surroundings, don’t mind getting their hands a little dirty, and are open to learning and sharing. Whether you’re into gardening, cleaning, light construction, taking care of animals, or simply want to be part of a calm and grounded lifestyle, you’ll find something meaningful here.
Looking forward to meeting kind souls and exchanging energy, skills, and good stories.
Warmly,
Ivona

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Here Volunteers have the chance to experience a slower, more connected way of living — rooted in nature and simplicity. You’ll learn about local traditions, seasonal rhythms, and daily life in a peaceful rural setting.
You can:
Explore local culture and customs by visiting nearby villages, tasting traditional food, and hearing local stories.
Learn hands-on skills like organic gardening, composting, natural building, and animal care — all part of a more self-sufficient lifestyle.
Connect with animals (cats and chickens), practice mindful living, and enjoy the therapeutic rhythm of working with your hands.
Share meals and stories, exchange ideas, music, recipes, or just have heartfelt conversations under the stars or by the fire.
If you’re interested in creative projects or eco-living, you’ll find an open space here for your ideas to grow.
I love learning from volunteers too — about your language, culture, recipes, and life experience. Every person who visits adds a new element to Tree Elements.
