This village is a tribal village inhabited by Gaddi tribe and nomadic gujjars. It is among the oldest villages in chamba district and the Indian subcontinent.
The temple of one of the local deities dates back to 7th century AD which has been designated as a protected monument/ site by the national archaelogical survey of India and both students from all streams be it archaelogy, architecture ,anthropology, geology visit this region for research. The pandavas are believed to have stayed in this village during their exile from where it gets its old name Kuntapuri (named after their mother kunti). So for a cultural exchange or experience this place has a lot more to offer.
Most of the help required is focused around the kids and young boys&girls of the village so we wish to host educated and dynamic individuals who can impart knowledge and share their valuable life experiences with them.
Physically fit individuals will be able to make the most out of their visit and explore the region.
We also expect Workawayers to be respectful towards the local people and their age old traditions & way of living.
