Description
I have lived off grid in spain for 15 years, i install my solar system myself along with carbon filtration fr drinking water. I grow 80% of my veg organically in a raise bed system, i also have 4 egg laying gadgets.
My nieghbours the boars, badgers, deer, rarely a lynx, snakes, spiders, nighting gale, eagle, kite, vultures etc. They spend most of their time in the olive, almond, walnut, hackberry, peach, grape, necterine trees and sometimes in the wild fig, pomegranites or blackberrys.
Before i came to spain i had a solar powered cafe stage at uk festivals and spent a fair bit of time travelling.
In the 90's i lived up a tree for a while until evicted. Also living on beaches in greece and india.
My work is in construction, i do pretty much everything, concreting, carpentry, walls, stone work, cob and adobe, welding, tiling, plumbing, roofing. I have also done thatching and industrial roofing, metal polishing.
I have experience in building and living in geodesic domes, ferro cement construction, benders, treehouses, beach huts. .
I worked as a chef for 11 years in europe and in the uk.
I will eat anything that is put in front of me, normally i eat from my garden, sometimes with fish.
Most of the year i use induction to cook with (when the sun shines(.
I only burn wood to keep warm or gas to cook with when it is foggy.
It is very important to use substainable ways to live, but just as important to understand exactly what substainability is.
My hobbies are guitar, didgereedoo ( which i make too), playing with clay, making tables, backgammon, chess, swimming, I was a rya sailing instructor, i love sailing, not so good at windsurfing and a beginner in kitesurfing.. I like to walk in beautiful places and meeting new people.
I have a dog who is far better at chess than i am..
