I stayed here for two months volunteering and living in Sicily. It was an experience that I won't forget. … read more saw a lot of the Central part of Sicily on our days off. The work was not too difficult but normally we worked longer than 5-6 hours a day. I would recommend that you speak a little Italian as there were only a few people who could speak English while I stayed there. I would suggest this place if you want to experience Sicilian culture and learn about many things(Agriculture,Italian language,Sicilian dialect,cooking.)

I spent almost 2 months living in the middle of Sicily and working in the countryside with Gioacchino. It was a magnificent workaway experience, I really couldn't have wished for a better one. Gioacchino is a very helpful and hospitable person. You can always count on him. He took me many beautiful places around the island when we had day

The work wasn't so hard, basically helping during the elaboration process of vegetables (mostly tomato) and fruits in the transformation laboratory, cleaning after the elaboration and sometimes watering the land. At times the working hours were a little bit confused, but it was normal, just you have to get used to the Sicilian mentality. The accommodation is very comfortable with private room and bathroom. The food was delicious provided by the host.
