*VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE THAT MY FARM IS IN ALLAHABAD WHICH IS CLOSE TO VARANASI. IT IS NOT IN MUMBAI, I LIVE IN MUMBAI BUT FARM IS IN ALLAHABD, SOME PEOPLE HAVE GOT CONFUSED*
Hey folks, I am Sunil. I have done my MBA in UK and lived there for 3 years, i came back to India in 2012 and have started a small firm over here. I am an active member of CouchSurfing and that is how i learnt about this website. I travel a lot and spend most of my time in Mumbai, where i live, but i travel to my picturesque native place 3-4 times a year.
My farm is located in a very quiet village of India. The closest city is Allahabad(Where the Kumbh Mela takes place). The farm is spread across 15 acres, and there are always some people working over there. I have traveled-13 countries so far, and lot within india, but this is the place which gives me most peace(i would even challenge you to find a more beautiful working farm in India). We have 4 cows and 9 Buffaloes and various different pets(parrorts, rabbit and different dogs) living in the farm. So you could work with animals too, if that is what you'd like.
You can even have your own small part of the land and cultivate your own small farm but please make sure whatever you produce helps the overall production. This is where you would experience real rural India.

The place is in very remote but very friendly location. Not a lot of people speak English over here, but so far i have hosted 9-10 people in this location and they were able to make their way by basic communication skills.
If the remote location is not a problem for you, you would like to live and work here

My cousins also have bug schools in Varanasi and Lucknow, where u can work with children and do any other work that suits you

    Accommodation

We live in a very comfortable house according to the village standards. The house has 20 rooms. You personal room would have an Air conditioner, a fan a king size bed, two couch, wardrobe to store your belongings and a study table. However, please note that being in the rural area, electricity is quite scarce and is never available for more than 12-14 hours a day. We do have our own back up generators for emergency use.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

My village is located an hours drive from one of the most religious places of India i.e. Allahabad. Apart from that the closest city of tourist importance would be Varanasi (around 2 hours train ride). Apart from being in nature there is no other sightseeing in immediate vicinity. However, people tell me the biggest attraction is the location of my house itself, we have our own private pond near our farm which you can use for fishing too.
